New Visitor Management System in Place
Our new visitor registration system is up and running at Trailside Elementary. The safety of our students and staff is our highest priority and this system will provide a consistent way to track visitors, vendors, and volunteers who enter our school.
- Visitors will present the front office staff with a valid driver’s license that will be scanned.
- The system will prints a visitor badge with a photo, name, time and date that the visitor is required to wear while in the school.
- In addition to producing visitor badges, the system will also monitor volunteer hours, and electronically check all visitors against registered sexual offender databases.
- The overall goal is to better control access to school and provide enhanced protection for our students and staff.
Please contact the front office if you have any questions.

Mission and Vision Statement
During the 2014-2015 school year, our faculty worked collaboratively to define the following mission and vision statement:
Our mission is to provide a high-quality, comprehensive, and meaningful education for all students. Each student will be treated as an individual, given the tools to be a lifelong learner, and taught to function as a member of a group and as a productive member of society.
Trailside Elementary School’s vision is to promote collaboration between school and community so that students are empowered to achieve academic excellence and succeed in a globally changing world.
Our faculty will use our professional learning communities to examine our data to help inform our goals for Language Arts, STEM, and positive student supports. We will also work collaboratively with our school Community Council to align our goals.
Be a Trailblazer!
Parking Lot Procedures for Pick Up and Drop Off”Open”
Please remember that at any time, and especially before and after school, there may be children in the parking lot. Drive slowly and without distractions.
Please use the drop off lane. Children may enter and exit vehicles at the curb where there is a double red lane. Please have them use the passenger side of the car only. There will be no drop-off or pick-up from the driving lane. If you choose to park in the parking lot and walk your children, cross only at the crosswalks. Please model proper behavior for our children.
Due to the presence of buses entering and exiting, we cannot allow students to be dropped-off or picked-up in the bus/faculty parking area.
Thank you for your patience and courtesy in what can easily become a frustrating task.
